Ed Nowicki: IVE TRAINED HUNDREDS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS IN WISCONSIN AND THOUSANDS ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
Annoucer: 34 YEAR LAW ENFORCEMENT VETERAN ED NOWICKI SPEAKS OUT AGAINST GOVERNOR
DOYLES VETO OF WISCONSIN's PERSONAL PROTECTION ACT.
Ed: I CAN TELL YOU THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT DOESNT FEAR ALLOWING LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS THE RIGHT TO CARRY FIREARMS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. WE KNOW IT MAKES FOR A SAFER COMMUNITY. OUR NEIGHBORS IN MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, AND INDIANA ALREADY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CARRY FOR PERSONAL PROTECTION; AND STUDIES SHOW THAT IN STATES THAT ADOPT RIGHT-TO-CARRY LAWS, VIOLENT CRIME GOES DOWN.
WHEN GOVERNOR DOYLE VETOED THE PERSONAL PROTECTION ACT, HE WAS SAYING THE CITIZENS OF WISCONSIN CANT BE TRUSTED. AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER I CAN TELL YOU THAT ON THIS ONE, THE GOVERNOR IS WRONG.
(Announcer concludes with a specific request to call legislators.)
